Dr. Ashar Rana is an internationally respected academic mentor with over 15 years of experience tutoring elite students across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. A medical graduate from Imperial College London and holder of a Master’s in Chemistry from NYU, Dr. Rana blends clinical precision with scientific depth to deliver world-class instruction in A-Level, IB, and GCSE Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics.
Having taught over a thousand students—including those from top-tier institutions such as Eton College, Westminster School, and the American School in London—Dr. Rana’s methods are rooted in rigorous exam-board alignment, advanced concept clarity, and strategic past paper mastery. My journey began in the NHS, where I served as a medical doctor for five years (2007–2012) after graduating from Imperial College London. During this time, I balanced hospital rotations with a growing passion for teaching — working as a part-time tutor, helping students master Chemistry and Biology alongside their demanding school schedules.
What started as a side pursuit soon became a calling. I witnessed firsthand how the structured, analytical thinking developed in clinical practice could be harnessed to empower students academically. In 2012, I transitioned fully into education — founding Chemistry Online Tuition with a clear vision: to deliver exam-focused, scientifically grounded instruction that consistently leads to top grades.

Alongside school-level tutoring, I’ve also taught medical sciences — including Anatomy, Pathology, Physiology, Microbiology, and Pharmacology — to aspiring doctors. Many of my former students are now serving in hospitals around the world. Through this dual role in science and education, I remain deeply committed to shaping not only exam outcomes, but future leaders in healthcare and research.
